i was chatting with a substack subscriber the other night, and she mentioned wanting to see more routines and days in my life. here’s a sunday, as told in time stamps.
2:20 am: i shouldn’t be awake. i wrangle my headphones from the bedside table and turn on an audiobook. the bedroom is a balmy 7 degrees thanks to the open window. i mold myself around the human furnace beside me. i watch the sky get lighter.
8:28 am: zeke has risen, time for coffee. i preheat our mugs with hot water while beans are ground and dispensed. i think about our ceramics collection that is sitting in storage. ditch the hot water, add brown sugar, top with espresso, then steamed whole milk.
